Four Lebanese children were wounded by an unexploded Israeli cluster bomb while they were playing in southern Lebanon. One of the children, Abbas Youssef Abbas, 5, was in a critical condition, the official Lebanese national news agency reported late on Saturday. The children were said to be playing with the unexploded ordnance.

The United Nations has confirmed 288 Israeli cluster bomb strike sites, including villages, across the south and claims bomblets have killed 12 people since the August 14 truce that halted a 34-day war between Israel and Hizbullah.

Meanwhile, the daily Al-Ahram reported Sunday that Israel and Hizbullah have agreed terms on a prisoner exchange. According to the report, senior Egyptian officials have conveyed that the exchange is to take place in three weeks' time, and is mediated by Germany.

The sources said that under the agreement, captured Israeli soldiers would be freed first, and a day or two later Israel would release Lebanese prisoners according to a list provided by Hizbullah.
