Three rockets launched from the border area between Lebanin and Syria hit the east Lebanon village of Nabi Othman Monday, security sources said.

No casualties were reported, the sources said.

They added that the rockets were likely fired from remote areas on the outskirts of the Bekaa Valley border town of Arsal.

The fall Sunday of the previously rebel-held town of Yabroud to Syrian regime forces prompted a flow of gunmen to the mountainous outskirts of Arsal.

The Lebanese Army intensified border security in response.
