ALBAWABA - Update - The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that at least 50, including women and children, were killed and over 300 injured following Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon.
Earlier, Lebanon's Minister of Education Abbas Halabi announced to temporary closing of all schools and universities in the South, Bekaa and the southern suburb of Beirut.
The closure of all schools and universities in the mentioned areas will continue for two days; Monday and Tuesday.
Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) reported that the main streets and roads of Sidon are witnessing heavy traffic after schools and institutes reduced teaching hours and asked parents to take their children with them due to the development of the situation in the south.
Nonetheless, the southern entrance is also witnessing heavy traffic towards the city due to the displacement of residents from a number of southern villages and towns that are being targeted by hostile Israeli forces.
This comes amid the Israeli army's announcement of hitting 300 positions for Hezbollah across Lebanon after warning residents to stay out of places near the Iranian-backed group sites.
In response, Hezbollah announces targeting Israeli military bases near Haifa with dozens of missiles.
"We advise civilians from Lebanese villages located in and next to buildings and areas used by Hezbollah for military purposes, such as those used to store weapons, to immediately move out of harm's way for their own safety," the Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari stated on Monday morning.
He said: "The IDF (military) will engage in (more) extensive and precise strikes against terror targets which have been embedded widely throughout Lebanon."
