Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry Thursday praised Paraguay for cancelling its embassy move to occupied Jerusalem, the state-run National News Agency reported.
The ministry also called on all other nations that had made the same decision to reconsider and follow in Paraguay’s footsteps “in respect of international legislation and U.N. resolutions.”
Paraguay took the decision to relocate its embassy, which was moved to Jerusalem in May, back to Tel Aviv. The change was not met well with Israel, which responded by shutting its embassy in Paraguay.
