An MP with Lebanon's Shiite Muslim fundamentalist Hizbollah on Monday condemned the US-led strikes on Afghanistan as "savage" aggression, in a statement to the Arabic satellite TV station Al Jazeera.
"It's an iniquitous American aggression against the oppressed and hungry Afghan people," said MP Hussein Al Haj Hassan.
"With this savage act, the US administration has once again killed children, women and innocent civilians in Afghanistan, like it has killed in Iraq," he said.
The MP, whose anti-Israeli group figures on a US State Department list of terrorist organizations, urged "governments in the Muslim world to take the appropriate stand” -- DUBAI (AFP)
