Lenovo Appoints New Regional General Manager for Middle East,  Lenovo, a worldwide leader in the PC market, announced today the appointment of Ali Al-Amine as the new Regional General Manager for the Middle East, Egypt and Pakistan (MEEP) region. Al-Amine has been Lenovo’s transactional business director since February 2009 and has over 15 years of experience in the technology market.

 

“In his previous role, Ali has built a very credible profile and developed strong leadership that enables him to spearhead Lenovo MEEP. He brings a broad market experience and great knowledge of the region and with his leadership we will continue with our goals to drive growth and build on the successes we have achieved so far”, said Ralf Jordan, Vice President Lenovo Eastern Europe, MEEP, Africa and Turkey (EMAT).

 

Before joining Lenovo, Al-Amine held the position of Regional General Manager Development for investment bank Merchant Bridge. He has also held senior positions within Aramex, Swiss Com Telecommunication Company, Emirates Computer, TechnoWorld and Pragma Holding Investment Group and other big brands.

The new post will help me continue drive Lenovo’s growth and success in the region,” Al-Amine said. “We continue to focus on our Think range of products targeting the enterprise market and with new addition of Thinkpad Edge on the ever growing SMB Market.  We will continue with our unique offerings for the consumer market with our IdeaPad range.”

 

Effective April 1st Ali took on his responsibilities as Lenovo MEEP Regional General Manager; he is now responsible for Lenovo's operations in 13 countries across the Gulf, North Africa and Levant, as well as Pakistan.
