Lexus, the luxury vehicle division of Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation, recently organized a media gathering in Bahrain, during which representatives of Arab media and press were given a detailed overview of the company’s lineup of hybrid cars. The gathering also included a presentation of the new luxury vehicle by Lexus, the LS600hL.
Jordanian journalist Mirza Hatk represented the Jordanian media front during the gathering, which also enjoyed the participation of a number of Lexus’s engineers and experts who designed and developed the LS500hL. The experts organized an orientation session on the inner workings of hybrid vehicles, which was followed by detailed technical presentation on the Lexus LS600hL.
The meeting allowed all who were in attendance to acknowledge the efforts exerted by the various engineers and experts toward the development of such distinctive vehicles, particularly in light of the intense competition the auto industry is experiencing. With, the recently-launched LS600hL, the company was able to redefine many of conventions of the luxury car landscape.
The media and press representatives expressed their joy at the chance to attend the gathering as the experience allowed them to sharpen their knowledge of the world of hybrid vehicles.  Lexus had organized the event with an overall “luxurious” flavor, greeting the guests at the airport with a fleet of luxury Lexus cars which transported them to a private wing at one of the most prominent five-star hotels in the area.
Hatk also had the opportunity to test-drive the LS600hL, giving high praise to its stellar specifications and elegant design. The interior of the car is covered with lavish leather and polished wood, putting a wealth of advanced features at the fingertips of the driver. When asked about his test-drive experience, he said: “I was struck by its towering aptitude, as it gives its driver a heightened sense of comfort, extravagance and superiority”.
This feeling of superiority comes from sitting behind the wheel and utilizing the full capacity of super-silent electric power. The 5.0-liter V8 engine gives the car a power-house quality, rivaling the performance of many spots vehicles on the market today.
The car delivers a maximum speed of 350KM/Hour and can easily go from 0 to 100 Km/h in 5.5 seconds. As for fuel consumption, the LS600hL consumes 11.8 Liters per 100 KM in cities, and 10.8 KM on highways, making it one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles to date.
The Lexus LS600hL is available to the Jordanian market through Al Markazia, Central Trade and Auto Company, the exclusive dealer of Lexus in the Kingdom.
