With the aim of enhancing interactive education and developing the teaching methods in Jordan, LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator, recently donated 10 network monitors and a server each for Fatima Al Zahra'a School and Zein Al Sharaf School in Aqaba.
The activities of this social and humanitarian initiative took place in Aqaba Governorate on 3 May 2010, in cooperation and coordination with Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), and in the presence of the Global Chief Customer Officer (CCO) at LG Electronics, Mr. Hwang, the Regional CEO of LG Electronics Middle East and Africa Mr. K W Kim, and the Commission Chairman of Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ), Mohammed Saqr, and CEO of ADC, Shadi Majali.
As a pioneering company in local community support, for which LG has always been renowned, especially in sports and education, LG works hard to play its social role within the social responsibility framework. And now, LG resumes its social activities by supporting and encouraging the educational sector through the schools, Fatima Al Zahra'a and Zain Al Sharaf.
In this context, Mr. Hwang expressed his gratification with this educational initiative on the part of LG, and said: "We are proud to play such an effective role in education development in Jordan, and in the enhancement of the educational process, which leads to many positive results, beneficial to the students in particular and the Jordanian society at large".
He added: "This Initiative emanates from LG's strategy which calls for deepening the Company's position as an active member of the local community, and for reflecting its keenness to invest in this community on all levels, especially education. We promise of more initiatives within the Company's plan towards implementing the social responsibility programs- one of our most essential policies in the communities we operate in".
LG Network Monitor has been developed to meet the demand for a low-cost solution to the PC replacement cycle due to the global recession. In the B2B market, less than 10% of the computing power of a PC (personal computer) is generally being utilized at any given time. Our product is a solution that can redistribute the remaining 90% of PCs resources to several users, simultaneously.
