LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator recently announced the opening of Air Conditioning (AC) Academy, an educational academy to supply professional AC services, and to educate the local and regional workforce on high-quality design and LG’s smart technologies.
The inauguration ceremony was patronized by the Minister of Labor, Mr. Ibrahim Al ‘Umoush; also attending, the Korean Ambassador Mr. Bongel Shen, LG’s CAC Marketing Team Leader Mr. Sangguy Lee and LG’s Levant CEO Mr. Kevin Cha in addition to LG officials and employees, contractors, consultants, developers, and engineers who will obviously benefit from this Academy, especially that it will introduce them to new B2B solutions, namely, New Lighting, Solar Cell and HomeNet control systems.
This initiative on LG’s part emanates from its commitment to the set plans and strategies; LG AC Academy came into reality following the Global CEO, Young Nam’s promise to His Majesty, King Abdullah II, during the former’s last visit to Jordan- as usual, LG is always committed to its educational responsibilities, and known to deliver on its promises.
The Minister cut the ribbon during the opening ceremony, and later, the AC technical manager engineer Hussam Ebbini escorted the attendees on a tour inside the Academy premises, and briefed them on the systems, machines, and techniques used in the manpower training process; he also introduced them to some of LG’s products used in AC systems, lighting, and solar energy.
The Minister expressed his pleasure with this effective initiative on the part of LG, highlighting its importance in developing the youth skills and experiences in the technical fields, in addition to investing in manpower and energy in many promising domains.
Commenting on the opening of AC Academy, Mr. Lee, said: “Most of our plans and strategies for Jordan have been realized on the ground, such as the Customer Service Center of LG, LG Life Sciences office, and this latest, but not last, AC Training Academy; all these achievements are attributed to the fruitful efforts of our staff and our valuable partners, clients, and customers”.
“I hope this educational institution will create a well educated and trained workforce and bring the AC education in Jordan to new levels” he added.
AC Academy will cover all Levant countries, providing commercial air conditioners (CAC) training service, and is also expected to be the hub for technical seminars and professional round table for contractors, consultants, developers and others.
