Israel's interior ministry filed a complaint with police against a Liberian diplomat who was caught on Sunday trying to smuggle in Nigerian workers through Ben Gurion International Airport using false Liberian passports, reported Haaretz newspaper.
Batya Karmon, in charge of the visa department at the census bureau, said this is not the first time Liberian diplomats have been involved in smuggling foreign workers into Israel, said the paper.
Several months ago, two Liberian diplomats were expelled for helping to smuggle in Ghanaian citizens on false Liberian service passports.
Karmon said that according to professional assessments at the census bureau, hundreds of foreign workers have entered the country using false Liberian passports, the paper added - Albawaba.com
