Mubarak Al-Shamekh, Secretary General of Libya’s People’s General Committee spoke with Permanent Committee member of the Political Bureau and member of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party this week, about ways of enhancing relations between China and Libya in various fields. The talks were held in Libya’s capital, Tripoli.
Al-Shamekh spoke about the appreciation the Libyan leadership had to China’s standpoint taken in support of Arab causes, especially in its request to lift measures imposed on Libya due to the question over Lockerbie. The Chinese official, in return, expressed China’s interest in enhancing relations and cooperation with Libya. (Albawaba.com)
