Libya leader Moammar Khadafi met Syrian Prime Minister, Mohamed Mustapha Mero, Wednesday for talks which focused on links between the two countries, reported AFP, citing the JANA news agency.
Mero gave the Libyan leader a message from Syrian President Bashar Assad on "the importance of bilateral relations and of the Arab-African (geopolitical) area," it said.
Miro said after the meeting that his country "will tie its efforts to those of Libya in realizing this area," the agency added.
Miro arrived in Tripoli late Tuesday from Tunis for a 24-hour visit with a large ministerial delegation, and has taken part in meetings of the joint Syrian-Libyan commission, reported ArabicNews.com.
Both countries signed agreements on investment, tourism and other protocols on social, cultural and sport issues, according to the news service -- Albawaba.com
