Lifeline Hospital Group wins accolades from the Ministry of Health
Public Service Campaigns wins appreciation of the Ministry
The Lifeline Hospital Group, a leading provider of healthcare in the country, was honoured by the Ministry of Health (MoH), UAE, for its contribution in spreading healthcare awareness amongst the public. The Ministry appreciated the Lifeline Hospital Group for the different public service campaigns it undertook to fight against breast cancer, diabetes and HIV.
His Excellency Mr. Humaid Al Qutami, Minister of Health, UAE presented an appreciation certificate and memento to Dr. Shamsheer V.P., Managing Director, Lifeline Hospital Group, during the Annual Day celebrations of the ministry held in Sharjah recently.
Commenting on the Ministry’s appreciation, Dr, Shamsheer V.P. said, “We initiated three public service awareness campaigns along with Ministry of Health in three areas of healthcare, breast cancer, diabetes and HIV. Our objective was to create and spread awareness on the three issues. The campaign was multi–phased and nationwide and was in line with UAE government’s health strategies of proving comprehensive health programmes to its citizens and residents.”
He added: “We are honoured that the Ministry of Health recognized our efforts. This appreciation will encourage us to do much more in our collective approach of providing the best healthcare to all.”
As part of the campaigns, Lifeline Hospital Group set up kiosks in supermarkets and malls. The objectives of the outreach community programmes were to widen protection, health screening, public awareness, research and educational programmes. The campaign efforts were maximised by providing free health check-ups, examination, screening and consultations.
