Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst has laughed off criticism of his duet with Christina Aguilera at last month's MTV Video Music Awards; he did it for the "nookie.”
The rocker has been criticized by fellow musicians and fans for
joining the Genie In A Bottle singer on stage, but Durst, who has stepped out with a number of Playboy models, including Scary Movie star Carmen Electra, makes no secret of the intentions behind his appearance.
He says, "I already said before, I did it all for the nookie,
man. That's why I did that with Christina.
"I want that girl, that's that. What do you want? I don't want to
make music like her. I can't stand that kind of music. People were
like, 'what'd you do that for?' What do you think I did that for?
It's obvious, isn't it? You know what I mean?
"So that's the deal. Everybody saying that was wishing they were
doing that too!"
However, Filter frontman Richard Patrick begs to disagree, saying, "Fred getting onstage with Christina Aguilera embarrassed us all” – WENN.
