After more than a month of preparations, Egyptian actress Lubluba has announced that she is withdrawing from her lead role in the film Asrar El Banat (Girl’s Secrets), directed by Majdi Ahmad Ali.
According to ‘Al Sharq Al Awsat’ newspaper, Lubluba was afraid of being typecast into the ‘mother’ role due to her character in the movie.
The actress was to play the mother of two: up-and-coming young actress Hala Sheeha and film distributor Mohmmad Hussein’s son, Sharif Hussein.
Meanwhile, the director said that he plans on nominating Egyptian mega star Dalal Abdul Aziz for the now vacant role.
He said that he would commence shooting after the veteran actress finishes shooting her scenes in the TV series Al Athab Rajul (Suffering is Man), so that the actress can give his movie all her focus.
According to Ahmad, the story of the film revolves around the problems faced by parents when their children are teenagers.
