Lux Fashion World Plays with beauty for the fifth year in a row in the Middle East

For the fifth time in the Middle East, Lux presents Lux Fashion World – a fashion and beauty event that allows each woman to embrace her own unique style. Renowned Lebanese designers Georges Hobeika and Nicolas Jebran will be present at this year’s event, as well as famous Lebanese make-up artists who will also be showcasing their talents.

Lux Fashion World will be held in Beirut on November 7 and 8, 2006 and will be attended by celebrities and stars of the Arab world. The determination to host such an event in Beirut acknowledges Lebanon’s importance as the centre of beauty and fashion in the region.

For the past four years, Lux Fashion World has been presenting the Arab woman in a way that highlights her own beauty and caters to her need for self expression.

“Lux is about the indulgent ritual of beautification. Our aim with Lux Fashion World is to let women in the region explore their femininity and own unique style of beauty,” said Iain Potter Vice-President – Marketing, Home and Personal Care, Unilever Arabia.

Lux Fashion World showcases the latest creations of prominent regional designers: Georges Hobeika and Nicolas Jebran from Lebanon, Hani el Buheiry from Egypt, Hanan Madani and Sara Baker from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Nawaf El Bader from Kuwait, in addition to the region’s finest makeup artists and hair stylists.

“For many years, both Arab and international celebrities have endorsed Lux. Its current brand ambassador, the beautiful and playful Elissa, has the ideal image and personality to represent Lux for the second year in a row,” added Mr Potter.

“Every woman remembers her childhood, when she used to stand in front of the mirror, living her dreams and exploring her beauty,” said Elissa. “Lux is allowing women to relive that experience through Lux Fashion World - an event that lets you play with beauty.”

Creativity, innovation and new concepts in beauty are reflected through Lux Fashion World, allowing Arab women to have fun with beauty and reflect their own personality in their appearance.  It presents an ideal opportunity for every woman to rediscover her inner confidence, her beauty and the world of cosmetics.

Lux Fashion World is an annual event held at BIEL in Beirut on November 7th and 8th 2006.
