Although she’s been sighted sporting a major chunk of ice on her left-hand ring finger lately, Madonna has said “the ring is just a token of Guy’s love and the fact that we have just had a baby,” denying any rumors of an upcoming wedding for the duo, reported ABC online.
Earlier this week, a front-page story in British tabloid The Sun quoted a source identified as a close friend of Ritchie’s, producer Erin Berg, as saying that Ritchie “intends to marry Madonna by Christmas.”
Ritchie’s publicist, Kris Thykier, denied the rumor telling the New York Daily News: “Neither Guy nor Madonna knows who Erin Berg is.”
So why does Thykier think Madonna is sporting the attention-getting jewelry? “Probably for the fun of it.” Hell, if you were juggling the birth of your newborn child and the pending release of a major record album (Music, in stores Sept. 19), you’d probably be hankering for a few chuckles, too-Albawaba.com.
