After disappearing for two-years, Egyptian actor Mahmoud El Judi has re-appeared on the small screen with a new Ramadan series, Abath El Aqdar (Irony of Fate).

According to Al Jumhuriah newspaper, the actor explained that his role in the series is “an engineer who participated in building the Great Pyramid. This engineer is also responsible for dethroning the King when a maid, Serga, played by Samia Al Ulfi, asks for protection she realized that she was pregnant with the pharaoh’s child.”

Soon after the incident, the maid married the engineer. However, as time goes by, the maid’s son, now a teenager, finds out that he is the Pharaoh’s son and decides to take his rightful place.

“I loved the role because it is the first time that this era in history has been featured on television. It is also a series that talks about one of the greatest miracles of the world,” explained Jundi.
