The Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur will hold the next summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in 2003, it was announced at the close of the ninth summit in Qatar.
"After consultations with different member groups (of the OIC) it has been decided to hold the 10th summit in Kuala Lumpur in 2003," the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, said.
Malaysia will also take the chair of the three-year rotating OIC presidency at the end of the 10th summit.
