Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad is scheduled to hold high-ranking talks with Lebanese and Egyptian leaders during his visit to the two countries from January 20 to 23, the foreign ministry said Saturday.
His wife, Siti Hasmah Mohamed Ali will accompany him, and a delegation including ministers, chief ministers, top government officials and religious officials, it said in a statement released by Bernama news agency.
During his visit to Lebanon between January 20-21, Mahathir will meet Lebanese counterpart, Rafic Hariri, in Beirut to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest. He will also meet with President Emile Lahoud.
In Cairo, Mahathir is scheduled to meet with President Hosni Mubarak and Prime Minister Atef Muhammad Muhammad Ebeid. (Albawaba.com)
