ALBAWABA -  Local reports say that Over 110+ civilians have been held captive by 'jihadists' in central Mali for over six days.

On April 16, "jihadists" stopped three busses carrying citizens and forced them to head to a forest between Bandiagara and Bankass, according to a local group of groups and an elected official.

"We demand the release of over 110 passengers of three buses kidnapped by jihadists on Tuesday," Oumar Ongoiba, a member of the group, told AFP.

An elected politician from Bandiagara, who preferred to remain nameless for security reasons, stated that "the three buses and the passengers, more than 120, are still being held by jihadists".
