Key figures from LG Electronics (LGE) management team met at the 2007 Middle East and Africa TV managers Conference. Held last month in the Southern Korean cities of Seoul and Gumi, the conference provided a space for its participants to discuss growth prospects, new target markets, and operational expansions for the company.
During the event’s proceedings, a delegation including LGE’s regional management team discussed the company’s future sales prospects for the Middle East and North Africa regions. Through these discussions, LGE’s management team resolved to work towards a 100% increase in the company’s home appliance sales come the year 2010.
The conference’s participants also discussed the latest technological developments seen in LG Electronics’ plasma screen productions. The event also included brainstorming sessions formed by participants from Jordan, which were geared towards creating an effective 2008 marketing and sales strategy for LGE in the Jordanian market.
Key topics touched upon during the brainstorming session included the importance of enhancing client/company relationships, fostering higher levels of professionalism, and introducing new products to the Jordanian market.
Commenting on the conference’s proceedings, General Manager of the LGE Amman Branch, Mr. Kevin Cha said, “LGE is already a leader in the North African and Middle Eastern home appliances market. Although we are very proud of the achievements we made so far, we still want to work towards increasing our market shares further. Our sales of TVs and mobiles are growing by more than 30% every year and we expect this regional market to be worth $40 billion in 2010. This conference presented an excellent opportunity for us at LG Electronics to meet managers from the company’s headquarters alongside our peers from the region. It provided a space for constructive talks that I am confident will lead to positive growth for our operations. We at the LGE Amman branch are proud to have taken part in this event as it was both a learning and a constructive experience for us all.”
From his end, Mr. Ghazi Farouq, Assistant General Manager for Marketing at the Middle East Complex, an agent for LGE products in Jordan said,” We are confident that LGE’s operations will see more growth in Jordan. LGE has always responded to the needs of members of this community, be it by competitive pricing strategies, distinguished after sales services, or technologically advanced product offerings. We are proud to say that LGE’s products are the number 1 choice amongst many members in the Jordanian community and yet through our partnership with LGE we strive to achieve more.”
During the event’s proceedings, LGE’s delegations from the region took the opportunity to visit LGE production plants in Korea and learn more of the latest production process adopted by the company.
