The maritime committee of the Arab Maghreb Union (UMA) plans to launch a Mahghreb database in the field of maritime transport and ports in its five member states, Panafrican News Agency (PANA) reported, quoting sources at UMA's Rabat headquarters.
The decision was taken at the end of the 9th session of the committee held over the weekend, with Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Mauritania in attendance, said the agency.
