According to JANA, members of the Mayors and Sheikhs of Arab tribes delegation in Marsa Matrooh in Egypt, have sent a cable to the leader of the revolution, at the end of their visit to Great Jamahiriya. The cable reads in part:
Leader Muammar al-Gathafi,
" The warm and cordial reception, accorded to us by the Libyan people reaffirmed that our ties are far stronger than mere nomenclature or false borders, they are ties that penetrate all obstacles, they are ties of blood, religion, traditions, neighborhood and history.. On behalf of the people of Egypt and Matrooh governate, we send our sincere thanks and satisfaction for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to us".
