mbd design a prize winner for the design of the korean ktx ii high-speed train
MBD Design has received a star at the Observeur du Design for the Korean KTX II high-speed train. This work will also be representing France at the next “World Best Design Exchange” in November 2007 in Seoul.
The agency was given the task of designing the exterior, livery and all interior furnishings of the future Korean KTX II very high-speed train by the Korean manufacturer Rotem and the operator Korail. The objective set out was to create a design raising this equipment to the high level of international standards, and also meeting the expectations stemming from Korean culture. This delicate mixture has now achieved a satisfaction rate of over 85% among the local population.
