Nexus, one of the region’s largest independent financial advisors, has been recognised for its commitment to the training and development of its people for the second year in a row, at this year’s Middle East Insurance Awards.
The company, which has more than 20 years experience in the Gulf, was awarded the esteemed Training Award by an international panel of judges at the annual Insurex 2010 event, held in Dubai.
The award recognises Nexus’ successful and on-going implementation of international standards of training. This reflects the company’s commitment to ensuring that its people are trained and competent to provide the best possible advice and service to its clients.
Nexus is also proud that its financial advisers study to gain an international qualification awarded by the UKs Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) further demonstrating its commitment to ensuring that its advisers work to standards of good practice and ethical selling.
“Nexus has a long running commitment to providing its advisors with in-house training so our clients always receive the best possible standards of financial planning advice. This is something we are very proud of, and we are honoured to receive the Middle East Insurance Training Award for the second year in a row, in recognition of our hard work in this important part of the business,” said Mahmoud Nodjoumi, founder and CEO, Nexus Group.
“We are continuously striving to improve our own training programmes, and as part of this effort we also work as a strategic partner with the CII to raise standards across the Middle East. We are unique in the region for ensuring that all our advisors have undergone training, and have passed the necessary tests on each product, before they are permitted to advise clients about them,” he added.
More than 200 insurance professionals from across the region attended Insurex 2010 on April 7 at The Westin Hotel, Dubai, to discuss the future of the industry in a challenging economic climate, and to explore untapped areas of growth including personal and specialty lines.
Nexus was launched in 2006 following a management buy-out and has gone on to become a leading name in the Middle East insurance market. The company has offices in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Bahrain.
