As part of its pre-opening campaign to raise awareness of the property’s location, Media One Hotel invited Dubai taxi drivers to visit the hotel in order to get acquainted with its location and sample a freshly baked croissant with a hot cup of tea or coffee.
Working closely with the RTA, Media One Hotel successfully welcomed almost 700 taxi drivers over a two day period.
For his part, Yousef Al Madani Director of Transport Systems at RTA's Public Transport Agency said: "On behalf of the RTA, we think this is a great initiative by Media One Hotel, as it undoubtedly supports RTA's efforts in better serving the taxi customers in Dubai. This initiative allowed our taxi drivers to be included as part of the opening preparations. And, it clearly worked as over 700 taxi drivers visited the hotel over the two days. It was a very nice touch that they were also treated to some welcome refreshments."
“To be able to greet so many Dubai taxi drivers and ensure they all know our location was a fun experience and so worthwhile. The reception was fantastic. It was such a simple thing to do yet the result has been incredibly impactful. By embracing them as part of our business we really feel that taxi drivers now know who and where we are. So often drivers are coping with identifying new hotels, venues, roads and they cannot expect to know every single location across Dubai without our help,” said Cora De Conceicao-Stuart, General Manager of Media One Hotel.
Set for a soft opening later this month, Media One Hotel promises guests a refreshingly new hotel experience. The property has been designed with the savvy business traveller in mind, and particularly those seeking style, comfort and smart service. Given its location, Media One Hotel also aims to become the ultimate trendy hang out for professionals based in and around Media City.
