Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah have just announced the malls sales’ results for the third week of this edition of Dubai Shopping Festival. Mercato – being a key sponsor of the festival – has saved no effort in celebrating the annual shopping extravaganza with a very attractive events’ line up, which has proven to be a success!
Under the theme “Teatro Di Mercato “which means Theatre at Mercato, the mall is hosting irresistible stage performances and roaming characters that appeal to adults and children alike.
“This has obviously been reflected on our sales”, said Rana Jaser, PR & Corporate Communications Manager of Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah. “The festival kicked off with a myriad of exciting activities around the emirate. People flocked to shopping malls to enjoy these world-class events, which in turn lead to increasing footfall and sales.”
Ms. Jaser adds, “A quick review of Mercato’s DSF sales report shows an increase of 14% in the 3rd week of the festival compared to the 1st week. Shoppers are taking advantage of the DSF discounts that have reached up to 75% in many of the participating stores, as well as appreciating the shows and activities taking place in Mercato on a daily basis. In addition to these exciting happenings in the mall, the Ultimate Wish List weekly prizes on offer as well as the luxurious grand prize Jaguar XF 2010 that we are giving away have absolutely contributed to these positive results.”
On the other hand, Town Centre Jumeirah saw a staggering growth of 31 % since the beginning of the festival. The mall has witnessed new openings recently that have brought renowned brands to the mall, such as Craft Land, Dubai Physiotherapy Clinic, Zen Yoga and Anne Klein to name a few. Emirates Travel Hub remains a popular destination in Town Centre Jumeirah for those who seek flight bookings in a very relaxed atmosphere. Ms. Jaser concludes, “Our outlets continue to attract new and loyal clientele to the mall, which has been a main factor to the increasing sales recently recorded.”
The sales growth curve is expected to soar even higher as we near the end of the festival, marking the grand prizes’ raffle draws across Dubai. Having supported the festival since the malls’ inauguration, both Mercato and Town Centre Jumeirah have been playing a crucial role in the leading shopping festival, which draws visitors from overseas and has steadfastly placed Dubai on the world shopping map.
