Mercato is set to host a fortnight inspired by Art! Starting from 20th July and running until the 7th August when Dubai Summer Surprises will conclude, the mall will host an array of art exhibitions, imaginative art workshops and competitions to inspire the artist within you! The activities are part of the mall attractions being organized during the 13th edition of the region's biggest extravaganza – DSS.
From 20th – 28th July, visit Mercato and wander through a colorful exhibition by Dubai International Art Centre featuring statement items that can be made at the centre, such as sculptures , pottery , mosaics, and paintings. The centre has helped many beginners to hone their skills and take their talent to the next level.
From 29th – 31 July, watch Dubai-based artists in action as they create street art on the pavements of Mercato! Their mission is to portray Mercato's DSS title Snapshots of Summer using only chalk. Then from 1st August to 5th August, visitors are invited to view the artwork created and vote for their favourite. One lucky voter will win a weekend stay at the amazing desert Arabian resort Bab Al Shams, courtesy of The Holiday Lounge by Dnata - Mercato.
For UAE-based artists who would like to participate in this competition, registration is still open with the closing date for entries being Wednesday, 21st July. The winner of the best artwork created will win a holiday for two in Florence, Italy, again courtesy of The Holiday Lounge by Dnata, Mercato.

What's more? Beautiful stage shows that include Speed Painting, Flamenco, Salsa and Ballet on the weekends will also take to the stage throughout 'Expedition of the Arts', creating a summery festive atmosphere in the mall.
