Michigan State University Faculty Meets Potential Students for Enrollment MSU Dubai Campus at Dubai International Academic City to Open Classes on 24 August
Prominent faculty members from the US-based Michigan State University (MSU) recently visited Dubai for a Meet Our Faculty Open House at the recently established MSU campus in the Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), a member of TECOM Investments.
The Michigan State University Dubai campus, which is scheduled to commence its first academic session on 24 August, aims to eventually grow into a full scale research university.
The faculty of the top ranked US public Tier I research university expressed delight over the opportunity to continue their teaching careers in Dubai, and eagerly met with students aspiring to take up bachelor’s and postgraduate studies at the university. MSU representatives at the event steered candidates through the online application process, following which more than 200 applications were submitted to the admissions office in Michigan, US.
Dr. Brendan Mullan, Executive Director of MSU in Dubai, said: “Students at MSU Dubai will employ conceptual and practical knowledge and learning skills to assess complex situations, and develop their own independent judgment for implementation on a broader scale. We are aware that leaders are developed through an ongoing process of self-study, education, training, and experience. And, MSU Dubai will provide students from Dubai, the UAE, and the wider region with a rigorous, high-quality education, training, and experience to become competent leaders of tomorrow.”

The 150-year old MSU is ranked alongside Harvard, Yale, MIT and UMASS as a Carnegie Foundation Research I University. The Michigan State University Dubai Campus will offer programmes on Construction Management, Computer Engineering, Media Studies, Early Childhood Education as well as Child and Youth Development. MSU integrates English, Social Science and Business components into all of their traditional four-year bachelor programmes.
The Master’s and Executive Development programmes are designed to accommodate working professionals keen to strengthen their career prospects with additional qualifications in Human Resources, Supply Chain Management, Retailing, Packaging, Educational Technology and Hospitality Management.
Currently, DKV and DIAC host over 20 reputed international universities from the US, the UK, Belgium, Iran, Russia, Australia, France and the Indian Subcontinent.
