Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI), a non-profit organization that represents the industrial sector in Jordan, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Microsoft Jordan, whereby Microsoft will offer the 10,000 members of the ACI with world-class solutions tailored according to each industry’s needs to transform the way they do business and help them become more competitive.
As part of the MoU, Microsoft will work with each ACI member to understand their industry needs and provide solutions that address those needs. Ultimately, this will help the members increase their productivity and efficiency, in addition to providing them with assistance in the introduction and proper adoption of the latest technologies, including Cloud Computing Services, enabling them to protect and maximize their investments in IT.
Rula Ammuri, Microsoft Jordan Country Manager stated, “There are over 10,000 members of the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) that are all looking to adopt the highest standards for their IT operations. We will coordinate with every member to help them achieve that objective by creating solutions that cater to individual business and competitive needs based on the industry the company belongs to. The customized solutions will enable the members to increase the productivity and efficiency of their businesses through the use of IT, in addition to ensuring that they are achieving the maximum benefit from their use of the latest technologies from Microsoft.”
Dr. Yaser Abdelhadi, CEO of Chamber of Industry, stated, “The industrial sector plays an important role in the national economy, and to that effect, the Board of ACI has made it their priority to enhance the competitiveness of Jordanian products in cooperation with all concerned parties, and provide the members of ACI with services that meet their needs and help them achieve their goals.”
Dr. Yaser added that deploying world-class IT solutions is one of the major challenges the industrial sector faces; however this MoU with Microsoft will help attract international experts to help the ACI develop the sector, solve IT challenges, and train staff members in cooperation with Microsoft.
