Three people including a policeman have died in two landmine explosions in a tribal area of Pakistan's Baluchistan province, police said Monday.
Police said two people were killed when their car struck a mine near Naro village, some 400 kilometers (248 miles) southwest of this provincial capital, on Sunday morning.
Later Sunday a policeman was killed and five others were wounded when a police team sent to investigate the first explosion struck another mine in the same area in the Kohlu tribal agency.
Kohlu is dominated by Marri clansmen, who are angry with the federal government for building a police fort in the area without their permission.
They have also protested strongly at the arrest of their chief on murder charges -- QUETTA, Pakistan (AFP)
