A free trade agreement between Jordan and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) is in the final status and the necessary documents will be completed soon, said Jordanian Industry and Trade Minister Wasef Azar on Saturday.
He added that that documents will be submitted to the council of ministers for approval, reported the official Jordanian news agency, Petra.
During a meeting with Swiss Ambassador in Amman, Azer said the agreement would help increase Jordanian exports to EFTA countries and back up Jordan's Free Trade Agreement with the European Union, which he is expected to come into effect earlier next year.
EFTA comprises Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.

to open in Qatar next October, the agency said.
