Four ministers from Israel's powerful ultra-Orthodox Shas party have resigned from Prime Minister Ehud Barak's coalition because of differences over the peace process, a close Barak aide said Tuesday.
"All the financial issues with Shas were resolved. They did not resign over that but for political motives of another kind: differences over the peace process," Finance Minister Avraham Shohat told Israeli radio.
On Monday, Meretz ministers told Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak that they are willing to step down as ministers but stay in the coalition, if that is what will solve the crisis with Shas, reported Harretz newspaper – (Several Sourcse)
