The Ministry of Health is applying for ISO 9001 certification for procedural compliance in departments dealing with patient care and employee satisfaction, according to Gulf News.
"The project aims to facilitate and document procedures at the Ministry of Health. The ISO 9001 will be the starting point to ensure continued quality service at the Ministry," according to Dr. Abdel Ghaffar Abdel Ghaffour, the Ministry's Assistant Undersecretary for Curative Medicine.
Throughout the process, questionnaires will be given out to patients in several hospitals, laboratories, at in-patient and out-patient clinics, emergency units and X-ray departments to find out customer service satisfaction.
Furthermore, employees will also be given questionnaires to assess their satisfaction. In addition, each department will be given a questionnaire to evaluate procedures and policies there. (Albawaba.com)
