Mohammed Bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development reinforces workshops with follow-up seminars
Strategy helps Government Leaders Program participants reflect on lessons learned from 'The Leader in You' workshop
Mohammed Bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development (MBRPLD), an innovative leadership program designed to develop future national leaders capable of promoting the sustainable development of Dubai, has announced that it has recently concluded a follow-up seminar to the 'The Leader in You' workshop, as part of a strategy to ensure that participants obtain maximum benefit from all activities organised by MBRPLD. All 33 candidates of the Government Leaders Program attended the follow-up seminar, an activity that reflects MBRPLD's comprehensive approach in the development of future leaders of the society.
The Leader in You workshop is a periodic activity designed to help participants achieve a balance among all their personal undertakings, which is a key step towards consolidating their leadership skills. The follow-up activity allowed the candidates to reflect on the life lessons they have learned during The Leader in You workshop, and direct the newfound knowledge and information towards enriching their own level of experience and expertise.
"Mohammed Bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development is particularly concerned about the impact of our activities on the participants. We want them to be able to fully grasp the key concepts behind the activities we have organised through these follow-up seminars. This approach also allows us to constantly monitor the progress of participants and their reaction to various exposure activities, while helping us discover ways to fine tune and enhance our future programs. We are pleased that the candidates have greatly appreciated our efforts and have responded favourably to the follow-up sessions," said Adel Al Shared, Director, MBRPLD.
The Leader in You workshop as well as the follow-up session have been designed to provide continuous learning and interaction among participants. The activities have also been conceptualised to help the participants be better prepared for their roles as future leaders of Dubai and the UAE.
"Leaders need to be aware of their strengths to be able to know where they can be much more effective. On the other hand, they must also learn how to recognise aspects in their leadership styles that may need further polishing. The Leader in You workshop is an excellent platform to address these challenges, empowering the Government Leader Program participants to critically examine themselves and assess their personal character against those of successful leaders," concluded Al Shared.
The Government Leaders program, a level of MBRPLD that aims to qualify the future leaders of Dubai Government departments, seeks to establish an assembly of unique talented individuals having distinguished potential, knowledge, skills and experience at all departments of Dubai Government.
