Three world-leading foreign groups in the textile industry, Spanish Tavex, Italian Legler and American Fruit Of The Loom (FOL), have announced on Wednesday, May 11, that they are going to invest in projects in the textile industry in Morocco, with a total amount of more than $300 million dollars, allowing the creation of approximately 2.500 direct jobs.
The first two projects will focus in the production of the Denim fabric, raw material for jeans, making Morocco one of the principal world sites of jeans production and the third project will be focused on the production of fabric for tee shirts, sweatshirts and joggings gear. Yabiladi reports that these projects will considerably reinforce Morocco’s exports to Europe and the United States.
