A Moroccan court has sentenced a bank employee to five years in jail for embezzlement, reported the official Maghrebe Arab Presse (MAP).
The convict was also ordered to pay a fine of 830,000 dirhams ($72,173).
The employee was found guilty of committing fraudulent acts "by enabling a client to take out loans without having sufficient guarantees to pay them back,” the court said.
The client was sentenced to tree years in jail, said the agency - Albawaba.com
