Morocco and China are strengthening cooperation in the fight against contagious diseases. The Moroccan minister of health Mohamed Cheikh Biadillah and the Chinese deputy Minister of health, Ma Xiaowei, who visited Morocco, called for increasing bilateral assistance.
Chinese companies are helping to build six hospitals in Morocco at a special price of about US$ 21 million. A protocol singed in 1975 between China and Morocco, and renewed every two years, has allowed 120 Chinese doctors to work in 12 hospitals in Morocco.
