Morocco will host the 13th international conference on micro-electronics in October, reported the official Maghrebe Arab Presse (MAP).
The conference, to be attended by some 20 countries, is part of efforts made to reduce the digital divide between industrialized and developing countries, said the agency.
Twenty enterprises are operating in the electronics sector in Morocco, providing 5,192 jobs.
The sector’s turnover is assessed at Dh988 million ($85.91 million), said the agency.
