Morocco and Iraq, which convened last week in Baghdad the 9th session of their joint commission, have signed $150 million-worth of exports contracts, Morocco’s official news agency (MAP) reported, quoting Morocco’s trade, industry, energy and mining minister.
The minister, Mustapha Mansouri, who headed the Moroccan delegation comprising 160 Moroccan businessmen, said he also conveyed to Iraqi president, Saddam Hussein, a written message from King Mohammed VI.
Meanwhile, two Moroccan chambers of commerce, industry and services signed conventions with the Iraqi industries union, the agency added.
In the same period, Baghdad hosted a made-in-Morocco exhibition with the participation of over 100 Moroccan industrial enterprises – Albawaba.com
