Morocco's King Mohammed VI dedicated this Saturday in Fes dormitories for female students and launched a series of health, housing, training, schooling-support and integration in active life projects destined for poor people.

The projects are carried out by the Mohammed V solidarity foundation for a total investment of 31 million DH (3.1 million Euro).

At the Ghassani hospital, the King launched the construction of a center for homeless children. The center, estimated to cost 1.5 million DH (15,000 Euro), will be built in partnership between the foundation, the “Amal” association and the government, according to MAP news agency.

At the same hospital, the King launched the construction of a rehabilitation center for the hospital patients and handicapped persons.

Afterwards, the King dedicated dormitories for female students, a project meant to support the schooling of rural and poor girls by providing them decent housing and better living conditions.

Built and equipped at a cost exceeding 8 million Dh (800,000 Euro), the center has a capacity of 170 persons.

In the same city, the king dedicated a training center at the Bourkayez prison carried out by the Mohammed VI foundation for the reintegration of detainees, the agency added.

Over 220 inmates will be following courses in plumbing, electricity, carpentry, hair-dressing and computer sciences. They will also receive literacy courses and enjoy religious, cultural and sports activities.

The project, costing 4.5 million DH (4,500 Euro), was carried out as part of an integrated approach. A craftsmanship village was also built, in a first experience of the kind to be expanded to other cities. (Albawaba.com)
