Morocco Make Bowl Final at Dead Time

Morocco’s rugby team came from behind to beat the French Barbarians 17-12 in sudden death extra-time and make the World Seven Series Bowl final here on Sunday where they will play Samoa.

Morocco, who have impressed all weekend, leveled the match early in the second-half as Aziz Chaid gave a passable impression of a footballer dribbling it over the line from 10 meters out.

Mohammed Dermouni, though, was the hero as in the first minute of extra-time he grabbed the ball off an opponent and ran it back 25 meters to touch down and give the Moroccans a deserved victory.

"It was very enjoyable but the tournament came at the wrong time of the season for us as we have not really had the time to play much sevens," Howe said -- (AFP)
