The High Authority of Communication and Audiovisual (HACA) in Morocco received applications for the creation of fifty radio stations and five TV channels. Le Matin reports that one of third of the radio station applications is in partnership with foreign stations from France, Canada, Belgium and America as well as four Arab states. HACA will examine the applications by the end of this year and the first independent radio and TV stations will start broadcasting in Morocco at the beginning of 2006. Four of the five TV channels are in partnership with European operators and the fifth one is with an Arab TV channel. HACA is expected to give license to the five TV channels by the beginning of 2006.
