Moroccan government has set a national plan to fight against the bird flu in case of an epidemic emergency. Le Matin reports that this plan consists of strategies to take all the precautions to detect the bird flu virus and to prevent its propagation, to conduct a communication campaign to inform the public and to reinforce the sanitary controls at the borders. Although no case of the bird flu has been recorded in Morocco, the country has already taken several preventive measures including banning import of poultry from countries infected by the disease and controlling migratory birds.
