Rotana, the leading hotel management company in the Middle East and North Africa, announces the appointment of Joe Batshoun as the new General Manager of The Cove Rotana Resort-Ras Al Khaimah
With a long tenure in the hospitality industry, a graduate from California State University, Joe Batshoun has the industry ranks over 26 years ago and worked in three continents, Europe, Middle East and the US. Prior to joining Rotana group in 2009, he held the position of Area General Manager with Marriott and the GM of the JW Marriott in Houston, Texas. During his years of service, he has been recognized with financial and leadership excellence awards. Joe Batshoun headed the pre-opening team of Yas Island Rotana & Centro Yas Island and worked hand in hand with the owners and Rotana corporate office to ensure a smooth opening of the hotels in time for the Formula One race.
Joe aims to work with The Cove Rotana Resort team in order to build upon the great success that the hotel has already achieved. Joe Batshoun intends to extend the market reach of the resort with plans of reach for new international market while cementing the solid relationship with the government of Ras Al Khaimah.
