The six edition of the Atlas-Football Cup ended recently with the victory of MRE-USA (Moroccan nationals residing in the United States) on MRE-Tunisia (Moroccan nationals residing in Tunisia), 7:6 in penalty shootouts. MRE Switzerland took the third place in the cup after beating MRE Belgium, again in penalty shootouts 4:2.
<i>Bladi.Net</i> reports that 14 teams took part in the tournament of Moroccan expatriates, including teams from France, Spain, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Great Britain, the United States, Canada, Algeria, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia and Senegal.
The 2004 edition the Atlas-Cup, which was held in Agadir, was won by MRE Canada.
