Egypt's ambassador to Israel recalled Tuesday will return to his post when violence ends in the Palestinian Territories, US Defense Secretary William Cohen quoted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak as saying in talks Wednesday.
"It is imperative for both sides to stop violence and to return to the table of negotiations," Cohen quoted Mubarak as saying.
"Conditions had to be met" for the return of ambassador Mohammed Bassiouni, including "a cessation of violence", Mubarak said according to Cohen -- CAIRO (AFP)
