Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf on Saturday night declared his country would continue to give moral and political support to "Kashmir movement" but would not allow "terrorism" in this regard. "We must find a peaceful solution to Kashmir dispute taking in account the wishes of Kashmiri people," he said.
In an hour-long nationally telecast address, Musharraf ruled out handing over of any of Pakistani citizens included in the list of 20 terrorists wanted by India. "The question of handing over any Pakistani does not arise. We shall never do it."
However, he banned Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Tayyeba (LeT), two Kashmiri militant groups blamed for the terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament on December 13, 2001.
"The government bans Lashkar-e-Taib and Jaish-e-Mohammad," Musharraf conveyed.
India has been demanding the extradition of 20 alleged militants who New Delhi says are living in Pakistan. The Indian list includes both Pakistanis and Indians. - Albawaba.com
