ALBAWABA - A short social media message by a top White House official has sent off a wave of speculation as tensions between Washington and Tehran are elevated and diplomatic efforts continue to stumble.

Close aide to U.S. President Donald Trump and Deputy Chief of Staff at the White House Dan Scavino posted a short video of a B-2 Spirit stealth bomber flying overhead. The post arrived with no caption, no explanation or accompanying statement, sparking a flurry of internet discussion about what it could mean.

One of the most advanced aircraft in the U.S. Air Force, the B-2 bomber is noted for its stealth capabilities and its ability to perform long-range precision strikes deep inside heavily defended terrain. The aircraft has been used in several high-profile military missions and previously participated in U.S. actions against Iran.

The timing of the post has been particularly noted. It comes as reports suggest officials in the Trump administration have been considering military options with talks with Iran stalled. No final decision has been made on further military action, U.S. officials have said, although talks about possible further strikes have allegedly persisted behind closed doors.

The video went viral on social media, with many speculating if the post was a symbolic message, a show of military power, or just a routine post with no more meaning.

Its release also comes amid ongoing efforts by regional mediators to overcome disputes between Washington and Tehran. But substantial differences persist and it is uncertain whether the issue will evolve toward a diplomatic settlement or further confrontation.

Neither Scavino nor the White House has offered any explanation for the post, leaving onlookers to interpret the message at a time when every signal coming out of Washington is being keenly monitored.
